My style is painterly, leaning towards expressive and abstraction. I mostly work in acrylic, on either canvas or paper, but ink, pastels, pencils and charcoal get used too. Some paintings are done with a brush, some with a knife, most with both.
The locations of my latest landscapes and
seascapes paintings are almost all on the Trotternish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye. My paintings depict scenes I find appealing, have sat in to observe and to sketch. An attempt
to capture and convey what I'm seeing and feeling in a particular spot. If you spot me out sketching somewhere, do say hello!

My Minch series is inspired by the colours I see in the view from my studio out over the Minch towards the Isle of Harris.
